Nearly 200 Ruth Project long-time champions and new friends gathered at The Seville in Streamwood on September 17 to celebrate all that the Lord has done this year and will continue to do for foster children and families. An interactive tour, Mystery Book Raffle, and incredible vocalist Jeorge Holmes kicked off the evening.
Mike and Holly Ruge, two of our very first Ruth Project parents, hosted the event after sharing an incredible update on their own foster journey. See how you are a part of their journey too!>Ruge Family Update Video
Our quick-witted auctioneer Tim Pfister rallied the room to raise support for day-to-day operations and fun projects, including an 18-hole Frisbee Golf course and Silo Pad Bonfire Spot, 14 months of Farm Animal Care, 12 months of Porta-Potty and Dumpster rental, one full year of electric for our future Boutique, and more. WOW! What generosity!
Dinner was delicious, as were the hand-crafted lemon bars, caramels, and cupcakes for dessert. Our traditional children’s book reading with Rob and Jen Stotz was a delightful reminder of how we are each uniquely and wonderfully made!
Founder and Executive Director Tammy McMahan ended the night by sharing story after story of the Lord’s faithfulness to The Ruth Project through His people. So many of you have helped strengthen foster families in your own creative and personal way. Our families are fostering longer and accepting more placements because of you. Together, we are truly changing the trajectory of lives for eternity. What a sacred calling for us all!
